Hi, sweet friends!
Welcome to my first ever blog post! If you're new around here, I am Brandy Morrison. I am the owner and fave behind the lens here at BMP! I am SC born and raised, so I talk with a southern drawl. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina. My husband Taylor is from the eastern shore of Maryland (Yes I married a red-headed northern man), and together we have a sassy toddler named Blakely Wrenn and a pup named Beau.
It’s my birthday week (yes I celebrate for a full week) and to celebrate I am launching the rebrand of my little company, that I have worked so hard for over the years and absolutely love. My heart and soul have gone into BMP over the last couple of years, and I am grateful to share this journey with you all.
I am so glad you are here, and I hope that you get to know my company and me through my website and blog. A few fun facts about me:
I am an open book.
I am a follower of Jesus.
A women’s rights advocate.
A hopeless romantic.
A lover of books.
And my grandmother's granddaughter because I have never met a stranger and will talk your ears off.
I firmly believe that my house should always have candles burning and that throw pillows are good for the soul.
My door is ALWAYS open for great conversation, good food, and a glass of wine.
I could watch Gilmore Girls all day, every day, just ask my hubby.
I get my nails religiously (it’s my guilty pleasure).
I celebrated my 3rd wedding anniversary with my best friend, and together we have slowly built a life that we love. My husband is patient, kind and serves our family so well. He is an event coordinator, so we have a love for hosting events, getting creative, and sharing our life and passions with others. He is a realist, and I am a dreamer, so we balance each other out well.
My toddler is my spirit animal. She is a “no bow, no go” sassy southern little, who tends to act like a teenager and challenges me daily. I sometimes wonder how to get the “me out of my child.” Yes, I admit it, she is a mini-me to a tee. She loves what she loves, and there is no in-between. God really outdid Himself when He created her. She’s full of spark and joy. You’ll enjoy watching her grow, I sure do!
We recently added to our family by adopting our little Goldendoodle name “Sir National Bohemian of Braxmorr,” but we call him ‘Beau’ for short. I have never been a big dog fan, but he’s rubbing off on me.
My heart and soul behind my business is to walk through different seasons of life with my clients while also building personal relationships with them. I want to not only be your photographer but to become your friend and to grow with you, your significant other, and your family. I have loved pictures since I was in elementary school, and my dad gave me a floppy disk camera. Being behind the lens brings me peace.
Whether I already know you or this is your first time meeting me, I am SO glad you’re here.
